Mino Monsters 2 Evolution

Mino Monsters 2 Evolution: View 5

Is Mino Monsters 2: Evolution a Pokemon clone? By golly yes; but that by itself is not a good nor bad thing. It just tells us what kind of game we should be expecting. What really matters is how well does Mino Monsters 2 base itself off the Nintendo original and whether you will have fun in the game. On paper, the concept behind MM2: Evolution is pretty good. Basically, this game is just a giant, jump-straight-to-battle game with cute monster pets. It takes away the longer and slower paced exploration aspects of other Pokemon clones and focuses entirely on monster evolution and combat. However, despite what should have been an impressive streamlined game has been heavily bogged down by constant panhandling for premium content.

Monster Warlord

Monster Warlord: View 5

If cure monsters alone were enough to ensure the general worthiness of a game, then monster Warlord would at least be able to stay on par. But despite the generally good line art seen in the game, MW lacks plenty of important fun-factors that make other monster collecting games enjoyable to play. And that, ultimately, is what hurts the experience of playing the game. This is a game where players do a lot of nothing. You tap on buttons, make a few decisions, grind missions, save resources, but it all amounts to practically not playing a game. Its a pretty weird feeling to get from a game, and we meant that in the awkward, bad kind of weird.

Bulu Monster

Bulu Monster: View 5

The bright and lively colors of Bulu Monster gives it a distinctive pop as you gorge yourself on a large variety of cute little monsters each with their own unique traits and abilities. But the most awesome part about this game is not in its cool and cute monsters, or in the fact that the game has pretty great combat animations, but in the fact that you can actually play this game in offline mode. Yes, unlike a lot of other games for the mobile in this genre, Bulu Monster allows players to enjoy the game without having to connect online.

EvoCreo

EvoCreo: View 5

EvoCreo is a Pokemon Clone in every sense of the word. All the familiar trappings are there, kid chooses a starter pet monster (in this game, they are called Creos), and then goes on an adventure with said Creo to fight other Creos and capture them. Oh, and they also evolve (hence the title of the game). The main story is this odd thing with the main character searching for their father as well as fighting against a villain group known as ShadowHive (yes, this game world seems to like not having spaces in between words when naming stuff). The good news is that any Pokemon fan discontent about not having a good monster pet game on the mobile will have something to play, the bad news is that despite the game's own attempts at trying to be different, at the end of the day, it is still just a clone.

Terra Monsters 2

Terra Monsters 2: View 5

It has been a good 20 years since Nintendo released Pokemon so to find a huge range of game following the iconic titles gameplay and mechanics is not surprising. At the very least, Terra Monsters 2 on the mobile is a pretty good substitute for fans of monster-collecting RPGs with its decent visuals and impressive gameplay. Of course, anyone looking for the full Pokemon experience may find Terra Monsters to be a bit on the tame side of things, but if you just wanted a great mobile game about collecting cute monsters to keep you busy and entertained during lull times, then this might just be the right app for you.

Tiny Monsters

Tiny Monsters: View 5

Of all the raise-a-pet-monster Pokemon inspired games, one of the most successful would have to be none other than Dragonvale (with its' obviously very dragon-theme-specific approach), so it is not surprising that the basic game formula of Dragonvale has been followed by a lot of games as well. Tiny Monsters is one such game, it has all the basic trappings from Dragonvale: breeding, feeding, structure building, land clearing, and of course, waiting for stuff to finish. The end result is a pretty interesting game with similar visual aesthetics but a broader design theme: Pokemon inspired monsters that run the gamut in terms of variety.

Monster Squad

Monster Squad: View 5

Monster Squad is exactly what it looks like, a smple mobile game where you build a team of monsters to fight other monsters. The monsters are designed to look adorable or dangerous so theres an appeal for various types of players. Combat itself is a strighforward affair that consists of having a decently balanced team that is able to adapt to various enemies while basically grinding through several enemy parties and as expected, the entire game is all dressed up in the typical trappings of the standard F2P fare.

Dragon City

Dragon City: View 5

If you are looking for a "game" kind of game app, then we are telling you right now: move on. Dragon City is basically a mobile port of a Facebook game of the same name. It's only real purpose and value is that it allows Facebook players to keep playing the game even on the iOS (since you cannot play Flash based games on it). The only other reason to play this game if you are not carrying over your FB progress is that you want to start on it and you primarily play social networking games on the mobile.

Monster Life

Monster Life: View 5

If you're a little fed up of all the sim games in the app store offering tired  gameplay that barely even deserves the phrases "same old, same old" to describe them, then perhaps you could do with a bit of the vitality and originality that Monster Life brings to its genre. While this game's premise and framework is indeed quite similar to other games such as Monster Galaxy and the combat can be a little on the simple side, Monster Life is at very least one of the best-looking games of its type, even if it's rather similar in gameplay to many of its rivals.

Monster Legends

Monster Legends: View 5

Monster Legends is all about pairing the right kind of monsters to create the best offsprings. And with that said, this game is all about preparing your best monsters lineage several generations up the chain. The gameplay at its best is quite basic: you breed and train monstes and then have them fight to win rewards that would help you breed and train monsters better. It is a simply cycle but it works. There is not much for depth of storyline of even gameplay, but the task-reward system is designed in such a way that it will keep many casual mobile players happy.
